According to court documents, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office investigated a June 9 incident involving four teenage boys, including a 6-year-old, that involved road work near a construction site on Florida Highway 9. Deputies were also involved in another roadwork near the same location a month earlier. A 14-year-old boy was arrested in connection with a police report that alleged the driver, 19-year-old Kyle Anderson, had crashed his car into the rear driver side tire. Anderson was not arrested after deputies arrived to the scene and were not accused of driving the car into the tire. Deputies also discovered a small gas can attached to a gas pump and another gas can in a trash can at the construction site. Police recovered a cellphone from the construction site as well as a set of keys and the keys to the trash cans.
